Job Description – Retail Butcher

Wages: $16.40 / hour

Terms of Employment: Permanent employment, Full time 35 hours/week

Schedule: Morning, Evening, Day, Weekend

Education: No degree, certificate or diploma

Experience: 1 to less than 7 months

 

Responsibilities
Clean meats to prepare for processing or cutting

Cut, trim and prepare standard cuts of meat

Remove bones from meat

Cut poultry into parts

Cut fish into steaks and fillets

Grind meats

Wrap and package prepared meats

Weigh meats for sale

Price meat products

Sell meats to customers

Train meat cutters

Slice cooked meats

Prepare special displays of meats, poultry and fish products
