Cripps and Sons Woodworking Inc. has an opening for Carpenter (NOC 72310) to work and support the team. As a Carpenter (Noc 72310), you will perform all or some of the following duties:
· Read blueprints, drawings and sketches to determine work requirements
· Measure, cut, shape, assemble and join materials made of wood, wood substitutes, lightweight steel and other materials
· Build foundations, install floor beams, lay subflooring and erect walls and roof systems
· Fit and install windows, doors, stairs, mouldings and hardware
· Schedule and co-ordinate work on sites
· Survey building locations and levels
· Supervise other workers
· Operate CADD and other computer software systems
· Maintain, repair and renovate residences and wooden structures in mills, mines, hospitals, industrial plants and other establishments
Education Qualifications: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate or equivalent experience
Work experience: 1 year to less than 2 years
Terms of employment: Full Time / Permanent (30 to 40 hours / week)
Employment: Morning, Day
Compensation: CAD $26.00 /hour
Work site environment: Noisy, Dusty, Non-smoking
Work setting: Commercial
Location: 654 Hwy 311 Loop Waugh’s River, Nova Scotia B0K 1V0 (Various Locations)
